Landing page design for IBM’s Watson
The brief was to design a responsive landing page that could sell IBM’s regulatory compliance service to businesses and institutions. In addition to being engaging and concise, the page had to adhere to IBM’s strict brand guidelines and be developed in Drupal.
Look & Feel
Though the look and feel of the page was primarily determined by prescriptive brand guidelines and a restrictive CMS, there were many iterations of the page. It was important to portray Watson’s capabilities accurately while remaining accessible to people with less subject area knowledge. This balance often looked like distilling infographics down into their most simplistic and concise forms.
Production
During the design and production of this page, I partnered with copywriters, strategists, developers and the client. Collaboration with the developer in particular was extremely important as I was previously unfamiliar with Drupal and needed to design to a very specific grid.
